Shrimp burger in Wilmington?
Headed to Wilmington Friday to work at a concert and won't have time to get a nice sit down meal. Is there anywhere to get a good shrimp burger similar to Els in Morehead City or Big Oak Drive In at salter Path in the Wilmington area?

the Dockside in WB has a shrimp burger. Never had one there but it will be a nice place to have one and enjoy a cold one. right on the ICW.

I had the Dockside shrimp burger a few weeks ago. It's not a "real" shrimp burger, with shrimp chopped up and cooked like a patty. It's fried shrimp on a bun. But it is Dockside, and when I snag a table there overlooking the marina, I'm content to eat fried shrimp in any form.

I thought fried shrimp on a bun was a downeast shrimpburger? I've only had the chopped up shrimp patty once (at Watts Grocery, and it was fabulous, but sadly no longer on the menu!). Any place to get that variety in Raleigh/Durham?

Hi,
I had a wonderful shrimp burger at a short order place with blond wood seating and a base ball themed interior.
This was at the beginning of the decade so details are sparse. Good luck.›2 Replies-

They ended up having dibnner catered by Islands cafe?? on Friday night. We did go to Somethuing Fishy for lunch on saturday but didn't get the shrimp burger since the special was to good to pass up. Shrimp plate with 2 sides for same price as Shrimp burger with no sides. It was pretty good not a lot of wiggle room on fried shrimp plates.
