Last time this question were asked was a year or 2 ago. My bf recently had it in Seattle, and was so shocked that I have never mention this yummieness before. Now that he can actually appreciate such traditional food, anyone know where I can find it? I've been to Blue Ocean in FF, and knew they used to have a decent Tokoyaki on the menu. Do they also Okonomiyaki? are they still in business?

Ara in Annandale is a Korean fusion restaurant that has Okonomiyaki on the menu. The bonito flakes wave around in a disconcerting manner. It's tasty, but I would prefer it to have less mayo. Ara is a swinging night club at night, and a very quiet restaurant at lunch time. Their lunch menu is extensive and cheap, running mostly to soups. The Okonomiyaki is from the regular menu, but available at lunch time and is more expensive, I think in the $15-$20 range.

yes they're still open. They still have takoyaki on the menu. Not sure about okonomiyaki though since there's a good chunk of their menu that isn't translated into english. You could call and ask though.
