Random Question About Caviar..

I will be driving for 12 hours tomorrow and would like to bring some caviar with me to my destination. It is salmon, it's in a can, and directions say that it has to stay at 20F. Is it possible to keep it cool like that in my car? And would I be able to freeze it tonight to help with keeping cool for tomorrow..Suggestions?!

keep it in a cooler with ice, don't open the cooler until destination (unless to add more ice).

if no cooler available, use bags with ice and wrap in towels to insulate as much as possible.

Thank you M.! I am a caviar novice and bought it on whim--was in a russian grocer and really just kinda grabbed it w/o thought..

Well according to the info I have been able to find, caviar has lower freezing point than water ... it does have a lot salt remember..

My point is that you are asking about freezing it tonight while saying it has to "stay at 20°F", which means it is *already* 12 degrees below freezing.
