chicago kid-friendly restaurants

I will be taking my 9 and 11 year old nephews to Chicago in August for a long weekend. We will be staying at the Residence Inn on North Dearborn. Can someone recommend kid-friendly restaurants in the area? We will not have a car.

If the kids are well-behaved and they appreciate different and unusual foods, you can take them ANYWHERE. Which means, decide where you would want to go even if the kids weren't accompanying you, and bring them along.

However, if that's not the case, my go-to place when friends/relatives with kids are staying downtown is Grand Lux Cafe, just a few blocks from your hotel. www.grandluxcafe.com
