Dutch Herring in Provence?

Trying to help out some Dutch friends summering in the Vaucluse. They are needing a herring fix (maatjes) and I was wondering if anyone knows of any sources around there. The local Carrefour has paling (eel) from Holland, but no herring. Any ideas? Any place that ships to Provence?

You can find brined herring, sometimes called "hareng boulonnais" in plastic in the refrigerated fish section of most supermarkets, often near the smoked salmon, lumpfish, tarama'.

Fishmongers carry "bouffi", which are similar to the salted and smoked British kipper, bloater, or smokie.
