Maine only- Summer Mainer looking for lobbies in LA

Hi,

So I've seen several posts about finding a good lobster dinner (or lunch) in LA, but no results that I could find for MAINE lobster. Now I am challenging you all, we are new transplants and live in Venice. We will travel for this if need be, but our normal summer time consists of Maine Lobster, Popovers, and Lobster stew (with cream sherry and butter). If anyone can help me find this in LA I will be eternally grateful. I've found Nova Scotia Lobster, but looking for Maine!

Folks, please keep this thread local by sharing tips on where to find Maine lobsters in Los Angeles.

We split off a discussion of Maine vs. Nova Scotia lobsters to the General Topics board. If you'd like to talk about that, please follow here:

When you settle in and want to make your own head to an Asian market like Ranch 99. Currently their prices are around $6.99/lb. for Maine lobster.

Malibu Seafood. Steamed only and not cheap. I'm from New England and blanch at the prices so can't imagine what a Mainiac would think.

Thanks MissCast. Just went there, got two 2.5 lbs for $60, expensive but hopefully worth every penny!! You really helped a homesick Mainiac ;)
