Where to grab brekkie near bowling green station?

shannongr Jun 26, 2010 11:34 AM

Hello all,

My husband and I are going to be catching the SI ferry early-ish (9 a.m. give or take) on a Saturday coming up and want to grab a good breakfast for the trip.

Take-out is probably best - maybe a nice pastry and/or good bagel sandwich?

We'll be getting off the subway at Bowling Green. Any nearby ideas?

Thanks very much.

You might be able to get some breakfast pastries at Financier. It's not exactly on the way to the Staten Island ferry though.

Note that there are THREE Financier Patisserie locations in the Financial District. You want the one that's at 62 Stone St.

I second Financier Patisserie. There's nothing worth eating by Bowling Green except for Financier. Love their croque monsieur with salad. Good illy espresso too.

Sorry for the late reply. I did see where Financier is (are) on the map, not TOO far away. Plus it really looks worth it.

        Thanks to you both!
