Cornucopia of baked goods at D'Vine Taste (Park Slope)

I've mentioned various items in other threads, but I was inspired to start a dedicated thread after just eating a piece of Roger's just out of the oven baguette.

People who pass this deli/gourmet shop might not know about the wealth of great baked goods in addition to cheeses, cold cuts and packaged foods.

Roger studied baking at CIA, and he's been making fabulous croissants and baguettes for a while, and he recently started making beautiful looking nut cakes (though I haven't tried them). But added to the on premises baking, they carry a large selection of items from Ostrovitsky's in Midwood as well as bagels from The Bagel Hole.

I've been shopping there for years, ever since they first took over Durel's.

  1. I second that - their croissants are top notch.

Also, their 'specialty' items are very high quality and reasonably priced. In their olive bar they have the most incredible preserved lemons I've ever used. Every time I step into this family-owned store, my love for it grows more and more and I thank the Coop for suspending me indefinitely.

    1. I can't believe I never knew about the croissants! I love this place, though, and agree about the preserved lemons. Though I've moved a bit further away, I will definitely continue to shop there.
