Saturday night in Manhattan...great late dinner & drinks

My boyfriend and I are headed to MSG tomorrow night for a belated anniversary date (we're going to the Maxwell & Erykah Badu concert!)...we live a generally very Brooklyn-centric life and I'm totally out of touch with where to have a great, festive date night in Manhattan these days.

Looking for somewhere we can eat on the later side (probably 11 or midnight), maybe near MSG but anywhere downtown from there would be fine too (would rather not travel further uptown). Great food is a MUST (I'm a chef!), we're adventurous (but tend toward more fish and seafood than meat), generally love Latin, Asian, Mexican...bold flavors, spice...somewhere with a sexy atmosphere to follow up what I'm sure will be a sexy show....good cocktails would help!
Definitely don't want to feel rushed so somewhere with a late-night kitchen.
Not too expensive, but doesn't have to be cheap....

Any ideas? Looking to make this a celebratory night...looking for somewhere to have a great meal in a sexy or romantic but not stuffy environment....help!!

Very quickly off the top of my head, Lure Fishbar. Great fish, seafood, sushi, oysters, excellent drinks, old (power) boat decor.

Lure has great food but awful service and deafening atmosphere. I'm thinking Oceana or SD26 but they may be more than you want to spend. Without a stated budget it is very difficult to make useful recommendations. A dollar amount would make it easier.

Minetta Tavern or Blue Ribbon Brasserie, perhaps?
