Nice place for drinks and apps near I-95 and Rt.4 - E.Greenwich - North Kingstown RI

Hi, newish to the area and looking for a nice place to have drinks and apps or dinner mid-week. This is for sort of a first date. I liked 1149 in EG but a little concerned about the priciness of it , the food quality and valet parking. We want to be comfortable, not having been to 1149 would be interested if its very upscale and dressy?

The only other places I can think of are Sienna and 20 Water Street. Is the view at Water Street
worth a trip there? Not interested at this point in Providence as we are coming from opposite areas and meeting.

In Narragansett I like Spain and Trio, but for now they aren't options. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

  1. About a mile west of 1149 on Division is a converted country club that is very nice (right on the golf course). Bistro 9. They plenty of outdoor tables overlooking the course:

I second Bistro 9, much better than 1149.

    2. There is a new Hemenways near 20 Water Street - in the old Table 28 location. It is reasonably priced and it has a great outdoor seating area on the water. The food at 20 Water Street is deplorable - I'm surprised that anyone would eat there.

What do you mean by "new"? Hemenway's has been at that location for a long time! Am I missing something?

No, it just became Hemenways....the spot between 20 Water St & Harbourside used to be called Table 28. OH - the link in Tricia's post shows the original location (which is still there), that came up automatically when she typed Hemenways, she didn't add it.
