Michael Timothy's and BVI are great suggestions--bear in mind MT's is buffet style and BVI is a la carte. MT's doesn't take reservations. A third choice in Manchester is Richard's Bistro, which has an amazing bread basket.

I loved Michael Timothy's for brunch. Just called today to make reservations for Sunday and they no longer do brunch. The restaurant is still open for lunch and dinner.

The website looks like they are going in a new direction, more towards a wine bar.

There's been lots of press about the makeover--the perception was they were a "dress up fancy place" and Michael wants to create a more casual image. The food is not really changing that much. I think he got tired of getting up on Sunday to do that same ole brunch thing. Made to order omelets, ho hum.

While the menu items seem a bit casual, am I the only that thinks the prices of the menu still reflect a place that's not really all that casual? I mean, I still wouldn't consider it a family place, but I suppose I wouldn't think of it as "stuffy" either...but the sandwiches are all over $10, and the pizzas over $14. As a parent, if my husband and I were looking for a special date night place, MT would still fit the bill for that. I guess I do get the "casualness" of the place now, I think I was assuming it would be a bit more affordable...was just my hope really, not so much a complaint. I get what they're doing.

I consider those prices reasonable. It's not going down-market.
