Fried chicken?

I don't know why, but I need some delicious fried chicken. Pronto. Any suggestions for the Reston/Herndon/Chantilly/Sterling area? I might just have to make some at home....

I've heard about Bon Chon taking a long time, but an hour? Or is there an hour wait to get in at some times?

It is a solid forty minutes from the moment you order.

For that long, you should hear it cluck and squall a couple of minutes after ordering, and see feathers in the dumpster. ;)

I remember my parents taking me to Chinatown when I was 10 and they would pick out the chicken that they wanted. After a few clucks, squaks, and some feathers ... we took it home wrapped in butcher's paper.

There is not a good restaurant in Sterling/Herndon/Reston for good fried chicken! I have searched for years. You may want to venture in dc or Maryland

If you're a chicken fan...(obviously) you should definitley check out Wild Chicken!!! It's on the corner of fern st. and lee highway in Fairfax. Down the hill and on your left(somewhat hidden). I eat there all the time...it's next to Guitar Center.

They may not fry any of their chicken...but what they do with it is f-n bomb, son.

This place is a pollo a la brasa. It is not fried.

I know. But it's chicken. And its better for you rather than fried chicken. Plus its one of the best chicken places in the area.

It is funny. I have eaten so much peruvian chicken that now when I drive past them my stomach turns. I have just overdone it on that style of cooking. Though I did have some killer spicy crispy pork chops at Full Kee today that woulda worked great on chicken.

Could always drive to Hi-Neighbor in Strasburg for a day outing.

It's a time machine that transports you to somewhere before 1950.

A full restaurant serving all meals in old town Strasburg - great place. Excellent fried chicken.

I love FC. Have tried a bunch of them around town but consistantly go back to popeye's spicy. To me it is the best around. Ok let the flaming begin...

Popeye's really depends on the individual franchise and its management practices. sometimes one location is great and the next one puts you off the stuff for months.

Nothing like General Store or Flavors in the area, that I know of. For wings, Bungalow in Chantilly - with the three mile island sauce.

Found Sylvia's seasoned fried chicken coating in a bag at my supermarket and it was delicious. A little egg, then coat chicken in a plastic bag and fry at 350 or so. Came out great with some organic, no hormone chicken.
