Spring in the first, yes that Spring, opens soon - truly - Hot news!

There will truly be a soft opening this upcoming week of the amazing new Spring, which I admittedly have a conflict of interest (emotional and relational not financial) in promoting but it's an amazing space with a cool decor, great cooking eqpt/counters and of course a talented staff. Me, I'm looking forward to it and some photos are at John Talbott's haunt http://johntalbottsparis.typepad.com/....

OK, the big boys are back in town and we smalltime bloggers have been leapfrogged. Both A Nous Paris and Figaroscope gave Spring high marks this week. So, not to sow panic, but make your reservations ASAP.

Great, thanks, but how does one get on the email list?

Yeah! I've already sent Daniel an e-mail for a reservation this fall. Can't wait to taste his brilliance once again.

I tried writing to contact@springparis.fr but the email got returned for user quota exceeded. Is there another way to contact them?? This is really exciting news!

I would think that this would be the norm for the foreseeable future.

My own method is like that I use at Frenchie's; I drop by and negotiate for weeks in advance. Much as I love him (and Marie, and Josh, and Fabien, etc) prompt answering phones, emails, telepathy is not what they're known for. A bonus in dropping by the boutique is that one always finds something nice for dinner.

I sent them an email August 17 and received an automatic reply telling me to phone the restaurant for reservations (which I successfully did around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday the 24th). He specified that it's a no-choice, no-substitution menu, so he wanted to be sure that my wife and I are omnivores!
