I am a fan of Onya. It's fresh Japanese udon noodles. Yum! I've only been there for dinner, but I've heard about their lunch specials. You can get an udon with a small rice bowl for like $10.

On 52nd between Lex & 3rd the last few weeks, we've had the Wafels & Dinges truck on Tuesdays & the Schnitzel truck on Fridays. The schnitzel truck is usually a long wait, but very good. Wafels are pretty good also. There's an XPL Halal truck on 52nd, also, closer to Third, that has really good gyros for $3. They also have falafel, but I can't comment on how it is since I don't eat falafel. The other discussions posted by Kathryn has a great list of recommendations.
