Came home hungry after dinner at Wilshire

Its been a while since we ate at Wilshire - tonight it was pretty packed and overwhelmingly noisy in the bar where we waited for our table nibbling on a plate of calamari with a very overdressed arugula salad - Mme Zoe and our friend had a glass of Stella Artois. Wait person at our table was helpful at first giving suggestions but was, we all thought, very unengaged. Friend ordered duck breast, Mme Zoe the pork loin with polenta and I had the Colorado lamb with curried quinoa, pickled tomato, raita and japanese eggplant. Meat was good and three slices certainly enough but the teaspoon of quinoa and the tiny serving of raita and eggplant made this a very sparse dinner. Mme Z just had one slice of pork which was fatty - friend had the duck breast - no complaints. The reason for this whine is that despite paying $29 for a main course - this was an appetizer size. Desserts were broiche bread pudding - just OK and a cobbler which was not a cobbler but mixed fruits with a topping that tasted like Bisquick for $10. Staying home tomorrow night.. Oh and the server brought the bill before we had finished our dessert. This is off our list.
