IMO, the Atlanta airport isn't the greatest for a really good meal and sounds like she doesn't have time to leave the terminals.
Coming from Rome she may arrive at Terminal E, and they have a pretty decent food court there.
For something regional, I'd suggest Paschal's or Chick-fil-a (although they are not in Terminal E..need to take the train)

Haven't been there, but have heard good things about One Flew South - http://www.oneflewsouthatl.com/ - also in Terminal E

Sounds like asian fusion with a southern twist? Interesting. Thanks.

We have a Chick-fil-A here at home but I'd be interested in what Paschal's serves.

Had a quick lay over this week at the Atlanta airport and needed a bite before my flight, luckily Paschal's (which I had not heard about) was in the area of my gate in Terminal A. It sold me on "Southern Cuisine" and since we don't have any southern style restos up here and no decent BBQ it looked even for airport food. Well, it was the best quick airport food I've ever had.
