MOMA lunch

Had a nice lunch at MOMA on Saturday afternoon. My expectations for museum restaurants are low (expect pre-wrapped sandwiches, tired salads, etc.) But Cafe 2 has fresh, reasonably imaginative food. Still "museum prices" though, jacked up for the location.

I had the shaved fennel salad -- generous portion with beets, oranges, greens and a tasty dressing. Couldn't identify the little red seeds -- seemed too small for pomegranite, hmmm - any ideas?

My companion had the Cesar salad with chicken -- again a generous portion, but nothing special.

Next time I think I'll put together a plate from their antipasti selection.

Was there Thurs for the FAB Henri Cartier-Bresson exhibit & we opted
to go 2 blocks to Benoit for a nice lunch...upon exiting, handed a little
bag bag w/seal with a white meringue...nice touch. Got a cuppa &
walked back to park across from MOMA to injest before re-entering MOMA.

Next time head down to The Modern Bar Room for truly wonderful food. A little more expensive but it is well worth it, lunch is an especially nice time.
