My roommate has been getting raw cow and goat milk the last couple of weeks from the farmer's market @ 63rd and Brookside and wants to make mozarella-does anyone know where I can suggest he go? Thanks!

I don't know where you live, but I found rennet at the grocery store by the pudding. It comes in a white box with red letters. I did go to the largest grocery in my town.

Whole Foods usually has it (if you have them) - dry tablets in the spice/cooking esoterica aisle.

what city are you in? 63 & Brookside - I'm guessing KC. it's amazing that in cities where raw milk is illegal rennet can be found, but not vice versa. have you searched the homecooking board? might give you sourcing ideas.

Our local IGA in the St. Louis area has/had it. I used to get it there when I made cheese as part of a Biochemistry lab. It was in the ice cream toppings and cone area there.
