Spaetzle in Vancouver

  • k

Does anyone know where I can buy dried spaetzle in Vancouver? I've been searching and can't find anything. Not fussy about the brand (and yes, I know I can make it myself, but there are times when I want it quick and easy). Any hints would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks.

  1. I buy my spaetzele at Parthenon. They carry two brands and I prefer the one that looks a bit more rustic (you'll see what I mean when you look at them!).

    1. A little off topic, but I had the käse spätzle at La Brasserie last week and it was a-ma-zing. Very flavourful and addictive. I wish I'd asked them what kind of cheese they use - my guess would be gorgonzola. Highly recommended.

      1. Do you have Fred Meyer up there? I'm across the border from you and I buy it there, in the ethnic foods section.

        1. saw it at army navy of all places recently

            1. i've seen them at Meinhardt's before.

              1. Saw some at the Kaiserreck deli/sandwich/sausage place on Granville Island (in the "food-court" area of the market).

                1. It's so easy and fast to make, if you're interested I'll post a recipe.

                  1. I think they have this at Killarney Market 49th and Elliott

                    2. German deli on 1st called Ploger has some!

                      1. Bosa Foods and a tonne of other European delis carry the Bechtle brand of dried spaetzle and thin egg noodles.
