Rome and Puglia (Andria and Oria)
My first time ever posting. Need help. Headed to Italy tomorrow for 18 days. Will be traveling part of the time with 2 kids(will eat most things) and husband(will eat everything) and the rest of the trip with an extended family (more picky). Looking for food recommendations for Rome (we are staying near the Porta Maggoire (close to Termini)) and in Puglia. In Rome looking for a few fancy meals and a few dives and also places close to where we are staying. Any leads on food in Puglia would be much appreciated too. Finally, finally anybody has any opinion on HomeFood.org -- i have been trying to book a meal through them but no one has gotten back to me. thank you.

you can fool around with the Restaurant search feature
the attached search lists 44 restaurants on 3 pages (mostly Slowfood, recommendations from this Board or similar) in Puglia, including one in Andria
If you put "Oria, Italy" into the search box on that page it will give you a different sort of the data
http://search.chow.com/search?query=&location=Puglia%2CIT&advanced=1&type=RestaurantFor Rome, there is a ton of data on this Board if you do a search.
putting Porta Maggiore into the Restaurant Search I get this (first page has the closest restaurants. http://search.chow.com/search?query=&...Trattoria Monti is not far from Termini and is recommendable. We had a very good lunch there in November.
