Lunch in Paris: A Love Story with Recipes -- book by Elizabeth Bard

I'm halfway through this new memoir. The author is a bit full of herself and I get tired of hearing about how great her sex life is with her French boyfriend. BUT some of her comments about the French are very well observed. I have some French inlaws, too, and can relate to the way she feels invisible at their parties. Also, some of the recipes at the ends of the chapters look surprisingly good. The tabouleh with couscous, for example, and the poached cod with wilted leeks and homemade mayonnaise. Anyhow, the book is worth getting from the library.

  1. Thanks for the book information. I've never heard of the author but the story sounds interesting. An American woman in Paris dating a French man. When you said she feels invisible at the parties, does that mean the French don't approve of American women?

I'll see if my library has this.
