Is Spice Market really that bad?
I've lookedfat pictures of Spice Market, and the decor looks beautiful, but when I read reviews they are mostly slating the food. I'm looking for a restaurant with a similar scene, but with good food. Any recomendations?

i enjoyed my six gingery alcoholic cocktails but the food was mediocre at best. the chili garlic noodles were probably the best of the lot, and the curry - it tasted like a big mac. how does that happen? the quality of the ingredients were fine, but there was just something lacking for each dish, an element that would have elevated the food from mundane to delightful.

I always have a great time at Spice Market, good drinks, very cool space, and great food. The honeymoon is kind of over for them, they were such a big thing in that neighborhood, and kind of a new take on the cuisine - like 6 yrs ago, but its still totally fine, great samosas great fried rice, you can certainly do better on some of the criteria, but as a total package that makes it easy, without getting crazy creative, Spice Market continues to be a good option.

Just my opinion but I think the food at Spice Market is perfectly fine for what it is (and that really shouldn't sound as bad as it does after I re-read it). I don't think it is a destination restaurant and the food won't change your life but everything we've ever had there was quite good. Nice drinks also.
