Best restaurant in Sydney and surrounding area for families with kids

Looking for restaurants in Sydney and North Shore with good food that welcome well-behaved kids. "Kid friendly" searches have resulted in restaurants with less than exciting food options. Suggestions?

Pretty much anywhere will be happy with well behaved children. I don't think it is something many places would think of advertising. However, Asian and Italian are generally much more child friendly, but anywhere will be fine - just mention it when you book.

Thanks! We ate at Il Baretto and it met both criteria of good food and appropriate for kids. Looking for more suggestions for "modern Australian."
