Seeking recommendations for Oberammergau

I'll be in Oberammergau in mid-July, to attend the Passion Play. Any Chow-worthy recommendations?

There is no question that the two best experiences in Oberammergau are at the Hotel Maximilillian. The St. Benoit is a michelin starred formal restaurant, and the maxbrau stube is an informal Bavarian spot to enjoy the local dishes with their house brewed beers.

I also like at Kloster Ettal nearby, the Ludwig der Bayern Hotel/Restaurant for again typical dishes and the great beer of Kloster Ettal.
