Monday Lunch in Paris

I wondered if anyone knew any good places for lunch in Paris that are open on Mondays and offer a good-value formule and the possibility of a long, languid lunch? I'd be looking to spend no more than about 30 euros/head not including wine.

  1. i've mentioned this place somewhere (maybe here?) for lunch before, but the chamarre montmartre has a 23 euros lunch, they are open all day, you can easily be long and languid. Chef there had previous michelin star (i believe the story there is that he no longer has it because he closed old restaurant and opened this one - but will probably get it back) doubtful he will be in kitchen during lunch, but i've been during the day and it's still really good even if he's not there. the service is great, too. really taking care of you without being overly intrusive.

In am not a fan of Chamarre and I regret that because it would be my neighborhood restaurant but Herrah's cooking is too confusing. Instead I offer:

      3, rue des Grands-Degres, 5th (Metro : St Michel, Maubert-Mutualite)
      T :
      Open 7/7
      Lunch menu 13.50 €,

      Fables of Fontaine
      131, rue Saint-Dominique, 7th (Metro : Ecole Militaire)
      T : 01 44 18 37 55
Open 7/7 - check I recently read they had changed days/hours.
      A la carte about 40 €.

      Le Marcab
225, rue de Vaugirard, 15th, (Metro: Volontaires)
      Open 7/7
      Menus for 16, 25 and 35 €

      Cartouche Café

      John Talbott's Paris

      1. re: John Talbott

I enjoyed the food at Le Reminet recently, but it was filled with too many tourists for my taste, and I found the service to be less than stellar.

    2. btw, the 23 Euros menu is for 2 courses - 29 for 3 courses.
