Asian Food near Pigalle?

Hi there, I'm recently relocated from NYC, and living near Montemarte/Pigalle and craving some great vietnamese or chinese. The cheaper and weirder the better. Any suggestions?

Q-Tea, very good authentic Taiwanese hole-in-wall with only 4 tables, but replete with a full carte of bubble teas. 19, Rue Notre-Dame de Lorette, in the 9th, 10 minute walk from Pigalle.

There is a very good Korean restaurant, "Sobane", on Rue de la Tour d'Auvergne (south Pigalle). Our resident Asian expert, Parigi, will be back from vacation soon and will probably be able to help. She has lived in this area for over a decade and recently told me about a new, tiny Viet Namese place on Rue Notre Dame de Lorette between Pl. St. Georges and Rue St. Lazare, but I can't remember the name.

I second Sobane. Very fine modern Korean. Inventive.

It's not mind-blowing but near by.

3.0 Le Dan Bau, 18, rue des Trois Freres in the 18th, 01.42.62.45.59, never closed.

hmm well would you suggest anywhere in the 9th then? I walked down to the very bottom of Rue Martyrs and saw a bunch of places down there. I'm going tomorrow night and taking a friend -- looking for some atmosphere. Someone suggested Les Pates Vivantes I think?

And reasonably priced as well; avoid Chao Ba Cafe.
