I had a dinner and 2 brunches there a couple of years ago -- not my choice -- and the experiences were virtually uniformly awful, both food and service. I recall hard-cooked eggs benedict (two of us had to send our eggs back), and haughty, neglectful service. I would love to hear about more recent experiences, but based on mine I would never return. So many great places to choose from in NY! Good luck!

Check out this old thread. I wrote a detailed review in June 08.
http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/2271...In retrospect though, I thought some of the commentators may have been right. The atmosphere is a bit contrived. 2 years since, I'm not sure now if I would choose to spend my money there. Or, it could be simply be that in NYC, there are sooo many options. By contrast, you can have a very romantic time at a very casual restaurant if the conditions are right. In any case, if you have an upcoming serious dinner date here, I hope you have a great time and enjoy. Maybe you can give us your opinion after you've dined here.
