Looking for a Wok

Hey all, I am looking for a spun steel or hand pounded wok in Vancouver or Richmond. Chinatown didn't seem to have anything of any quality I was thinking Yohan centre or Big Crazy in Richmond. Thanks for the help!

Attison Restaurant Supply on No 3 Road. (Suite 150 4351 No. 3 Rd ) I got a decent hammered iron wok for 20.00 there. I find Ming-Wo way too expensive. The staff there is very knowledgable. They sell to both restaurants and individuals.

Just an FYI to add that Attison and Tinland in Chinatown are affiliated (if you go to Tinland, you can get catalogs for Attison.)

Ming Wo's Chinatown (Pender St) store not only sells a variety, but dispenses good advice too, which is not necessarily available at the shops you mentioned.

I bought my hand pounded steel wok at the Ming Wo in Kits. It seem most of them carry them. A bit pricey for a wok but it doesn't need seasoning and I know it will last me a lifetime.

You can shop at a second hand or Goodwill type store for a used wok.
If your fortunate you'll find one that is already seasoned and save a
few bucks too. Don't buy teflon.

          In Chinatown - Tinland.
