Crepe Maker / Private Chef

  • 8

I need a crepe maker, like from a street fair; or a private chef to make crepes at a work event. I called all the crepe places in Miami, any other suggestions?
Thanks!

  1. Crepe Maker, which is a chain with several locations in South Florida, indicates on their website that they do catering, and I am 99% sure I've seen them set up at farmers' markets and other similar events:

It also happens to be the first thing that comes up if you google "crepe maker Miami."

As I said, I called all of the obvious crepe places in Miami.
I am looking for someone off the grid, not a chain; like a pastry chef, a freelancer or a hobby person.
      Thanks!

When you said you had called all the crepe places in Miami, I assumed that meant the ones you called were unable to do a private event - not that you had called and they were somehow unsatisfactory because they were not sufficiently "off the grid."

If you called them I assume your opposition is not a matter of principle; is it one of price?

I was going to suggest Crepemaker too. They were an exhibitor at BizBash Expo in Ft. Lauderdale back in April. People were waiting in a long line at their booth to sample one of their crepes. They were well received and the ONLY reason I didn't get a crepe and stand in line was because I was helping a friend man her booth. :)

What's the problem with the obvious crepe places, price?

    2. This couple in Delray started with a street cart. They now have a storefront.

BTW they hafve a "catering" link on their home page on the right side.

      2. I only need someone from 10am-12noon, for a work meeting, and most places have a 4 hour minimum, or a 100 crepe minimum.

Don't know where you're located, or if Chef Remi will do it (he's got a storefront bakery and catering business in Pompano).....but I recommend him:

Just had some of his pastries today and they were perfect and very French.
