Lobster in Brooklyn

I am looking forward to suggestions for restaurants in Brooklyn (I am in the Prospect Heights area, but have car and will travel) that has great lobster. All suggestions are much appreciated.

  1. How do you like it cooked? Chinese, French, Maine style? Or something else?

I love all of the above. Because the weather is getting so nice and summery, I'm thinking more of a Maine style for immediate consumption. But I had amazing lobster at Del Posto recently, and I'm open to any style of cooking, whether it's Asian or fanciful French technique. (Bizarre, but true, I'm currently pregnant and it's a food that I am currently craving. And I don't want to have to travel into Manhattan for it if I can avoid the hassle.)

It's pricey, but I'd recommend the whole steamed lobster at Brooklyn Fish Camp in Park Slope (they have a nice garden for the summer). And for lobster rolls, I think you can't beat Red Hook Lobster Pound (in Red Hook and also at the Brooklyn Flea).

And Rocky Sullivan's in Red Hook also does a Friday night lobster special dinner from the Lobster Pound.

They are doing Saturdays from 4-8 now, too.

Rocky Sullivan's lobster night is awesome. Weird clientele and atmosphere! The lobster is, of course, wonderful (Red Hook Lobster Pound, yum) but I would go just to people-watch.
