Good value leg of lamb dinner for 6 at Uncle Joe's Family Restaurant

  • 1

Just got back from a leg of lamb dinner at Uncle Joe's Family Resto in Markham (Main Street).

Dinner for six, with a VIP card and paid for in cash, was just $70 before tax for the leg of lamb dinner, which comes complete with garlic bread, soup or salad, veggies, rice and of course, the nicely roasted leg of lamb.

Decor at the restaurant isn't much to speak of as it's pretty old but clean and functional. We went as a group of 7 and our toddler and all of us thought that this was great value. You need to call ahead at least the day before to order the leg of lamb dinner as they need advance notice to prep and roast it for you.

I was pleasantly surprised at how moist the leg of lamb was, well seasoned and delicious, the gravy tha came with it was a tasty surprise as well. The salad, soup and garlic bread are about average for this type of family restaurant, the side veggies and rice were good.

If you're looking for a good value meal in Markham, this spot is pretty decent. Consistent and won't cost you an arm and a leg.

  1. +1 great value and very tasty. They are in fact pretty good all round on the menu. My only complaint is the coffee is bad :)
