brattenheimer Jun 17, 2010 12:04 PM

Hi, Everyone,

Flying in from Los Angeles next week to take a very important client to dinner. Looking for any/all recommendations. I'm a foodie and definitely want something that's new, hip and and amazing.

Thanks!

Questions: Where are you staying? How long do you want the meal to be? Any dietary issues? Price point? Is the client from the Valley or an out of towner too?

I've never been disappointed with Binkley's - it's always been amazing.

Noca will suit your needs quite nicely.

How much of the evening will be business and how much just pure food?

I love NOCA, but it's not conducive to pure business, due to the close proximity of other tables and the ambient noise level. Absolutely great for food though.

For pure business, I prefer a venue, such as T. Cook's, or Vincent's on Camelback, and the food and service are very, very good. Neither is as "cutting edge" as NOCA, but things depend on what you need.

If it is 100% about the food, then NOCA, or Binkley's will do. The only hesitation that I would have towards Binkley's would be the location, so if you are at, say the Boulders, then that would be my choice. If you are located down south, then NOCA. Different feelings between the two, but great food and service. Wine list is deeper at Binkley's, but the shorter list at NOCA pairs wonderfully with the cuisine. There will be fewer of "the usual suspects" at NOCA, but you will NOT be disappointed.

            Enjoy,

            Hunt
