Want to Korean try for Father's Day...

Hubby wants to try Korean BBQ for Father's Day. Would like to stay in Northern Jersey (Passaic, Bergen or Morris County). Won't rule out NYC. Any suggestions?

I'm a fan of Korean food; had my fix in NYC just last night, in fact!

I haven't been there yet, but friends I trust love Keo Ku in Parsippany... www.keokukoreanrestaurant.com

Keo Ku is good for where it is, but the joints in Fort Lee/Pal Park are significantly better imo.

My personal fave is Woo Jung in Palisades Park. But it's a little more casual than some of the other places. For a birthday I would suggest Hanil Kwan in Fort Lee. So Moon Nan Jip is good too and everyone loves the place but IMO it trails the two above.

I usually get a bunch of orders of kalbi, and a spicy soup to be shared by everyone. Yum!

Can suggest: So Moon Nan Jip, 238 Broad Avenue, Palisades Park

Did you want to barbeque on the table?

Have you had Korean food before ? I have experienced that even in the better restaurants, asking the waitstaff what to order usually doesn't result in a good experience (Oddly, since the basic beef short rib "Galbi" (or "Kalbi") are the easiest things to recommend)
