Visit to Cape Cod (Dennisport)

Visting cape cod with a group of eight and looking for some good dining choices

1) Best place for Breakfast)
2) Best placel for sandwiches to bring to Cape Cod League games
3) Best fish "joint" (fresh fish and clams) informal
4) Best place for fine dining (yet still informal)
5) Best ice cream place

We had a very nice meal at The Skipper in Yarmouth. We sat on the deck and had a view of the ocean. There was a wedding rehearsal dinner going on (20+ guests), so I know they can accommodate large parties. The cod cakes appetizer was quite acceptable. I had fried clams and my girlfriend had a seafood casserole she couldn't finish. The service was exceptional: our server spent so much time with us answering questions I thought she would get reprimanded for ignoring other tables. Again - not fine dining, but a very good Cape dinner.

For breakfast I would say the Red Cottage. Their red cottage homefries (not the regular homefries) are awesome. Love their pumpkin pancakes too (but ask for the real maple syrup). Go early (pre 8:30) as it gets really crowded. It's located on a cross street between 6a and 28, but I forget the exact street name).
For ice cream I would say Sundae School is may favorite - - it is on 28.
I love the Red Pheasant for fine dining (and the wine list) - - - I wouldn't call it informal but khakis and a polo are plenty fine. It's on 6a. http://www.redpheasantinn.com/

Mercantile on Rt 6 A behind the white PO in Dennis Village. You could try Buckie's Biscotti near the bend adjacent to Factory Shoe in Dennisport

3) Best fish "joint" (fresh fish and clams) informal

Ocean House in Dennisport hands down
5) Best ice cream place

Sundae School or Smuggler (6A-10 min. from D"Port)

Yes! Ocean House in D'port on the water will fit the bill for #4 on your list. Fantastic food, nice view of the water, an dyou don't even have to leave Dennisport.

Agree on Ocean House, Mercantile, Red Cottage, too. Try Sesuit Cafe for seafood on the jetty at the harbor in East Dennis, or my fave on the southside is Marathon Seafood on Rte 28 in West Dennis. Fairly priced at 13.95 you get piles of fries, rings, and fresh whole bellied clams with an especially crunchy coating. This place is overlooked by many who are missing out.

Sundae School on Lower County Rd. in Dennisport is the best ice cream on Cape IMHO. Best dessert on the Cape is a freshly filled ricotta cannoli from Bucky's Biscotti in Dennis Village or Dennisport.

the former Buckies in Dennis Village is called the Underground now. Not sure if the same owners but I suspect so since they still have biscotti..Norabella x from Cuffy's is quite good as well for a nice little Italian spot. Harvest Wine Bar and Gallery x from Mercantile and Underground is a great spot for music, wine and raw bar.
