Phoning in at di Faras

Can I phone in an order at di Faras to pick up? I was thinking of just ordering and then getting on the train. That sounds a lot more efficient than waiting the whole 2 hours.

As someone who is an anomaly in the neighborhood - jewish AND eats at difaras, I can tell you the best time to go there is now a wednesday afternoon (since he's closed on m/t) around 1ish - run in, tell dom what you want and pray someone else didnt have the same idea you did... try talking to the daughter - shes generally more reliable than dom is.

That was my logical thought as well- unfortunately, logic does not work at DiFara's. IF they pick up the phone...which they generally don't...you'll still wait about as much time as if you just show up and order it. I feel like standing there at the counter staring at them reminds them that 'oh yeah, this guy made an order'. It's best to just go there in person, preferably with someone you'd like to talk to for 60-90 minutes, and enjoy the experience.

Yes, you can phone in, but don't expect it to make any difference. They'll take your order, but my experience is that it won't be ready when you come and you will still have to wait the same time as if you didn't call first.
