Excellent new restaurant-- Indochine Banh Mi in Halifax
Indochine just opened up on South Park Street across from the Public Gardens. I was curious what a thai inspired sandwich would be. It was delicious. I had the lemongrass chicken sandwich complete with the recommended toppings which included: pickled carrots, daikon and hot peppers.
What a fabulous combination of hot and cool. I can't wait to go back and try another version. Great service, fast and a wonderful sandwich to pick up on your way for a stroll downtown, or a picnic on Citadel.
They also have coconut water!

I had the pork meatball sandwich, and it was good, but next time (and I will be back!!) I am going to ask for some of the sriracha I saw behind the counter on my sandwich, as I like some spice.
I was in there on a Tuesday at lunch, and the place was packed. I hope what I saw in terms of business was more representative of normal than what boynamedsous saw!

I agree! I had a lemongrass chicken sandwich from there on Friday that was deliciously refreshing...especially on such a hot day. My only fear is that with three people working the counter, and me as the only customer on a Friday at lunchtime, they might not stick around. Please Haligonians, check out this place.
