"Peel and Taste" (echoes of "Scratch 'n Sniff") in magazines, now
The following snippet in a media magazine tells of a newly-invented concept:

The concept makes its debut in a magazine aimed at media types (who'll want to buy the concept for their own print ads).
Would *you* pull a strip out of one of your magazines and taste it? Me, I think not.

Can you just imagine sitting in a doctor's waiting room and there's a magazine that catches your eye, you pick it up, it smells appetizing, you page through and come across a half peeled taste tab with slobber marks all around it? I DON'T THINK SO....!!!
But I'm surprised their first go will be for a cake flavor. I would think something more robust, like a pasta sauce, would be easier to manage. Anyway, I don't think it's going to be a huge hit in grown up publications, but kids books? Maybe. hmmmm.... Nah. It's one thing to scratch and sniff until the aroma is all gone, but licking? What kind of mom would allow that!

Sniffing is one thing - tasting (i.e., ingesting) is something else. No, I doubt I'd try it, unless there was a way to hermetically seal it. Even then, not sure I'd taste it.
