Downtown Austin - Replacement for Las Manitas?

I am returning to Austin for the first time since Las Manitas closed. I work close to that location (Congress, near the lake). Where can I go downtown (preferably walking distance) for a great breakfast or lunch that is comparable?

Unfortunately, nothing is comparable. People mention El Sol Y Luna, but it's a pale shadow. I eat Mexican downtown on a regular basis, but nothing comes close to Manitas. Those migas...

my home kitchen...just kidding, it's not open for business...forget about El Sol Y Luna, that place is no comparison whatsoever...if by downtown you mean between the river and Capitol & within a few blocks of Congress, yr going to be up a creek without a paddle, unless yr willing to settle for something that's a half-step towards Lad Manitas...yr best bet, IMHO, is going to involve a bus ride...probably the best bets, the closest places that are comparable to Las Manitas--Sazon on S. Lamar, Curra's on Oltorf, and any number of places in East Austin (too numerous to mention)

The hellofit is that there is no 'Manitas and there is no hotel either. We need to get O.down here to kick some real ass.
