Sno balls in Asheville?

Does anyone know of a place in Asheville that has shaved ice sno balls? In Louisiana, you can find sno balls on every corner, but I haven't found a good one yet in Asheville!

Thanks, marney! I finally got out there and it was well worth the trip. The selection of flavors is a bit small and there was no cream, but it was great. Now if only there could be one on the East side as well.

cream?? Ok, please explain to a transplant from Boston what a "sno ball" is? I thought it was like a sno cone. No?

In the deep south, there is an abundance of "sno balls" they consist of fresh shaved ice in large cups. There are like 60 flavors, some of the best, wedding cake, vanilla ice cream, tigers blood ect. Many of them come with "cream" which is sweet condensed milk poured over top. I know it sounds kinda weird but they are really a divine treat. I so wish we had them "up" here!

Don't give up your search, caiogirl! We have "sno balls" like you described here in KY, but they are just called "shaved ice". It is harder to find the ones that have "cream", but I know there is at least one in my area (Strawberries and cream....strawberry syrup, cream, and real strawberries on top....divine!), so if they are here in KY, surely you can find them in NC!
