A good pub in Hackensack?
On a hot summer day when I feel like escaping from my Hackensack workplace at lunch, I would like to go to a pub that is well-air-conditioned, with comfortable seats or banquets, and where I wouldn't feel uncomfortable alone ordering just a glass of wine and soup or salad.
This is pretty specific, I realize. What I'm looking for is something between a dive and a fancy bar. Something like the Maywood Inn but closer to Fairleigh Dickinson University. The food merely has to be edible -- it's comfort and escape I'm after!

Yeah, that's the one- though it is a 'former' King's Supermarket, and now an H Mart. Maybe give them a call to make sure it is in stock before you head on over there (though, IMO, they are the primo beer store in the area, and have lots of other excellent beers available):
