When my kiddo was a baby, teething, I went to our local bagel bakery and made a special order.

maybe inquire at palmieri's about doing a custom order? i think their bagels are awesome, and being a smallish neighborhood place i could see them possibly accomodating you...

Good reminder on Palmieri's bagels. I read here that the recipe for those bagels came from Barney's originally?

Saw bags of 12 mini bagels either plain or whole wheat yesterday at Whole Foods on North Main Street, Providence

For the next time you need the minis or just want a good bagel, try Bagel Express on Smith street in North Providence. They will make minis for you if you order ahead. Being a NY transplant myself, I was desparate to find a good bagel. These are not exactly the NY bagel I grew up with, but are very good and always satisfying! But this is RI, so I think this is the best RI bagel I've had! 1848 Smith St # D North Providence, RI 02911-1952 - (401) 354-4410

Thanks Maura....needed mini's again!! Apparently Palmieri's doesn't need the business since I have been waiting for a response regarding placing an order for mini's for a day and a half!! Bagel Express was very helpful and I will have the mini's for this weekend!!! :)

If you are ever stuck for mini bagels. They are not bagel bakery quality, BUT in the fresh bread aisle at Stop and Shop they carry Stop and Shop brand plain mini Bagels, and on the Thomas's endcap they stock plain and whole wheat mini bagels. I buy these for an elderly parent who doesn'yt have the appetite for a full sized bagel. She keeps them in the freezer and toasts them as needed.
