Driving from Chicago to Mammoth Caves, KY-looking for good eats!

BirdNoir Jun 14, 2010 10:20 AM

Hello everyone,

I am taking a road trip in July from Chicago to Mammoth Cave, KY. I am looking for good eats on the way, and in the area of Mammoth Cave NP. Any interesting sights on the way are also welcome! Open to any ideas, although BBQ or other "regional fare" would be top on the list.

A very nice stop is the Whistle Stop in Glendale, Ky.

Really good food in a nice little town. The antique store was good and the people in town were very friendly.

We did exactly what you did except not from Chi-town. Finding places in the Mammoth Cave area is not easy. Check for places in and around Bowling Green.

You might want to give this a try.
