boneyard bistro --- closed for good? or just remodeling

    1. Kevin - doubling in size, expanding into the former running store next door with a full stand-up bar that is largely completed. Not sure when they will begin serving in that room, but it should be soon. In the meantime, they still do a mean burger, the best ribs, and of course superb fried chicken on Mondays.
      New chef is changing a few things around there, and of course Aaron is still the ultimate CIC (chef in charge).
      And with the expansion, of course, 25 boutique beers on tap, etc.

        damn, i'll have to tried that fried chicken, but alas mondays usu busy till 930pm. do they still serve the venison with foie gras on top with that sirachi-bbq sauce? and what other dishes have you had in the past few months. sadly, i'm not usually in the valley in the evenings, but lunch would have been great, and i've never tried the burger yet with the foie gras.

          As of lately, Boneyard Bistro has evolved into more of a burgers and ribs-focused menu, with relatively few bistro items.
          Too bad, too, because while I like the ribs, I really liked the bistro selections, especially including the venison dish you mention.
          Once the expansion has been completed, the full liquor license activated, and autumn sets in, I am guessing Aaron will be reassessing his menu and the direction the place takes. Right now, everything is in a holding pattern, pending the finalization of licenses and construction.
          Still has killer burgers and ribs though, but you already knew the ribs issue.
          Now you just need to justify a valley visit, preferably on a Monday night.

            yep, public hearing on their conditional use for full line of alcohol sales (City) is this Friday in Van Nuys.

              Is this open?! I'm supposed to go tomorrow...I highly doubt OpenTable would let me make a reservation if it still was under construction, but just making sure! THANK YOU! :)
