  1. Thanks, Jan. We're planning on watching the show. Sundog also mentioned it in today's Baja Group Digest.

    1. A correction. It airs at 11PM PDT, not 10. But I'm still awake and waiting for it. (Watching the "Samoa" BFS episode right now.)

How was it? I had to bail and go to bed or I wouldn't be able to get up in time for work this morning? Do you know if they'll rerun it anytime this week?

          DD,

It was pretty good, but not spectacular. Most of it dealt with La Paz (especially Buffalo BBQ) and Tijuana (huitlacoche crepes in Baja?). I was looking forward to the segment on Ensenada (w/ Benito Molina/La Manzanilla in particular) but unless I blinked at the wrong time or briefly nodded off, it didn't happen.

The Travel Channel says it will be re-broadcast on June 24 at 10pm E/P but, as they say, "check your local listings."

Wasn't he eating and cooking all the geoduck at Manzanilla. I also thought it was a pretty interesting show.

            1. re: jasont

That was described on the website but I must have dozed through it. I'll rewatch it on the 24th.

          2. re: DiningDiva

DG thx. I'll check it out on the 24th :-)

            1. re: DiningDiva

I just checked my local listings and it airs tonight (6/24) at both 7 and 11pm PDT.

          3. This airs today/tonight. It'll be little ole me in the Tijuana street food segment, fondas and a truck actually.

Holy crap SGLA! You're now officially famous. How will we recognize you? Are you really little and/or old?

              1. re: dlglidden

I'm introduced, and will be with Andrew at Mariscos Ruben, El Mezon, La Cahua del Yeyo and the tianguis in Tijuana. 41 yrs. average ht. and all my "black" hair.

                1. re: streetgourmetla

I saw you on the show. Nice to meet you vicariously "in person." You don't look like I expected, but, then again, I'm not really sure what I expected.

                  1. re: dlglidden

Old and short? haha. I'm 41, dlglidden. Yeah, I'm not sure what YOU expected either. When are you putting up your mug? Hehe.

Thanks for always being a great supporter of Mexican cuisine and culture.

                  2. re: streetgourmetla
