Relish in Northwood Village (West Palm Beach)

I guess the original thread was deleted possibly due to a questionable post?

This place is nicely done inside and the menu is interesting. They have about 12 different types of burgers like beef, mahi mahi, tuna, shrimp, veal, lamb, lobster, and mushroom. You then choose a relish from their list which most seems to go with something other than beef. I ordered a beef burger with mushroom/leek relish which is mushrooms and leeks sautéed with butter, sherry, and thyme. You can add cheese to any burger for 99 cents.

The burger was pretty good and is up there on my list of top 5 for the area. They have a nice thick bun to hold it without crumbling on you and all of the burguer ingredients seem to be high qaulity from my first visit. The fries are orderd with a choice of salt seasoning served on the side. I tried the rosemary/garlic/ which wasn't very garlic-y. The fries are bigger than shoestring size and pretty good. I want thick fries and thick onion ring slices unlike the style eveyone else serves.

The shakes are pretty interesting and I tried the red velvet. I think they take red velvet cake and grind them up in the shake itself. Then they add whipped cream on top and drop a mini red velvet cupcake with frosting on top. Mine was the right thickness for a shake and it was really good for what I expected. Burger w/cheese, fries, and shake was $14.30. With just a soda or water, it would have been around $11. These prices are inline with CG'sBurgers.

So here is a list of my favorite burgers in the area:

standard blue collar fare - Brass Ring

downtown WPB - Grease

unique with a great shake - Relish

slightly upscaled - Pelican Cafe

and CG's in Jupiter which charges you extra for garlic *powdered* fries

  1. I agree, Relish is pretty good; the selection for customizing your burger is enormous.

I ate at Relish when it first opened. It was good and interesting but pricey for what you got. Fries were good and the shakes were awesome. The cookie desserts are a big skip. It was OK but i wouldn t go back.....Now Charm City Burger thats another story!
