Went once and only once (circa 2004?). Forgettably bad breakfast. Sort of like a low-end Norm's, if that' even possible. It is, however, cheap.

Very ordinary food. I still miss Nuway's! If you are looking for resonably inexpensive (Metro maybe more on the inexpensive side only for breakfast or lunch) and good in a diner like atmosphere then either Pepy's Galley, Rae's Diner or Metro Cafe are all much better choices.

I believe it is the same ownership as Rae's. Cafe 50's is decent for breakfast.

what's metro cafe? is that the diner that has a side line in bulgarian dishes?

Right (Serbian). I've had their chevapchichi sausage dinner entree before and their Serbian salad. Quite nice. But they have mostly non Serbian food, especially for breakfast and lunch.

For diner food it's on the plus side of acceptable and it's definitely good value but it's nothing that will knock your socks off. Good omelettes, steak fries, turkey club sandwich and burgers. Free parking, friendly service, retro decor, CASH only.
