Haverhill: Which Market Basket? And which meat market?

So we just moved to Haverhill, and as a confirmed Market Basket lover I need to figure which ones are good and which are skeevy - 'cause we all know, some are kinda scary. Went to the one downtown, but no seafood or bakery and seemingly limited selection - are others better?

Also, there seem to be a lot of meat markets up here; what's good? Is Butcher Boy a good choice, or are there better?

Feel free to send me anywhere else you like in the Mingya Valley! Thanks!

  1. Yes, the Market Basket in Central Plaza is not that good. I use it rarely, only for convenience. The one in Westgate Plaza and the one in the Building 19 plaza--both are much better. Choose the one closer to you, because they are quite similar in quality and selection.
For meat markets, you can't beat Butcher Boy. Excellent quality and service. I highly recommend it. And, right next door is the Lobster Tail Fish Market that carries top of the line fish. It is excellent.

    Welcome to Haverhill!

    1. Ah... it's Mingya Meadows! I'd go to the MB on rte 125 in Plaistow, NH very nice. As for meats and specialty foods, Butcher Boy is excellent, you should check-em out.
