Has anyone dined at South of Temperence lately?
http://southoftemperance.com/menu.html
Right now, I'm thinking about trying the fish tacos, the ceviche and/or the calamari. Besides the quesadilla, what other dishes would you recommend?
Has anyone liked the burger or sliders? I read the one reply above where the poster mentioned he/she didn't like the burger.
Thanks for any of your comments!

re: apple_pie
A group of 6 of us were in there last Friday afternoon around 3 for cocktails, 3 of the women shared a couple of pitchers of sangria (red) that they said was outstanding, the rest of us had pints. Odd though that on a Friday afternoon they ran out of Creemore. They had Sapporo, Heineken, Creemore and a few regular brands on tap as well as a few specialty import beers in the bottle that they were pushing at the patio bars. Be prepared to pay Bay Street prices, $7.75 for a pint of Sapporo. Great location and patio.

Stumbled across this place last week, and it was open and doing booming business on a very nice-looking patio opening onto the square next to the new Bay Adelaide tower. Has anyone been yet? Intrigued at the inclusion of fish tacos on the lunch menu.

re: Gary
I went with my husband for lunch last week. The place was packed with Bay Street folks, many of whom were watching the soccer game while having lunch. We were seated promptly but had to sit just inside as the patio was full. It's a very nice space - modern, airy and open. We ordered the fish tacos to share as a starter. They were presented as three small tacos in flour tortillas. I can't speak for authenticity but they were very tasty (my husband went back a couple of days later and got them again as a snack). For our mains, I got the salad with chicken and feta and my husband had a sandwich of some sort. Unfortunately, my salad was kind of bland. It had grilled chicken breast, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and feta. It was like a cross between a Greek salad and cobb salad but I wish they had just chosen one or the other. However, my husband really enjoyed his sandwich.
Our server was very apologetic about the slow service because the kitchen was so busy but to be honest, it didn't really seem much slower than anywhere else I've been lately. I appreciate that they were aware of time constraints and kept us informed.

re: ms. clicquot
I went with a group from work last Tuesday evening. We ordered a number of appetizers to share and then I got a burger for dinner.
Appetizers that were great were calamari & quesdilla. The ones that were just "ok" were short rib poutine and mini sliders.
My burger was not great at all, had a weird spicy taste to the meat. Maybe it was just me.
Service was slow but our server did her best and the place was RAMMED. The thing i detested was the music was blaring and I mean "nightclub loud" at 5:30pm so much so that I had to shout to the person beside me and there was no opportunity to talk to the people across the table from me. For this reason, likely not to return soon.Someone at our table had fish tacos and loved them and the person beside me ordered salmon boulibase(sp) and said it was fantastic.

re: ciaociao1
I didn't particularly enjoy the fish tacos which I felt were a mishmash of flavours without anything standing out. I did, however, enjoy the ceviche very much. Fresh, although not as tangy as I'd like.
Headed back soon to enjoy one of the only patios in the core with some sunlight ... perhaps to try the bouillabaisse!

Where exactly is this place? I walked by the general area twice recently and did not see it. Is it on Adelaide? I left Mercatto on Bay St last week, walked along Temperance and south on Sheppard (that itty bitty st between Adelaide and Richmond) and then west on Adelaide towards York. Still stumped where it will be?
