I haven't seen or heard of Master Chef, but I saw an Ad for a new American Series called Master Chef.
It's with Gordon Ramsey from what I remember and is on Fox.Is this the American version of the same show?
It looks like a Top Chef type competition.

Yes they are doing an American Version. It started in the UK and they have done 2 seasons in Australia and one in New Zealand. I'm not too exited about the American version. The Australian one has an insane amount of episodes. They start with 50 qualifying contestants widdle them down to 25. Then the format is Mystery box challenge (set of ingredients all the contestants must use some or all of) followed by the winner getting to pick the main ingredient for an invention test. 1 episode. Then there is usually a team competition. 1 episode. The losing team or 3 lowest scores go into elimination competition. 1 episode. The winner goes up against a star chef and if they win they get immunity. 1 episode. Plus there are master class episodes where the judges demonstrate dishes or they go to a famous restaurant and the chef there does. 1 episode. So times that until there is one person left. Its pretty crazy but really good. I think they will probably make the American version more simple...and add some drama:)
