'Consumer Reports' Gives Top Rating To 7-11 Chardonnay

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06...

Nothing wrong about that.
What I really liked is the examiner.com comment upon release of Chateau 7-11

'Bottle price will be $3.99 and is listed as a “limited edition,” likely meaning that when this lot runs out, there will be another “limited edition”. It’s an honest way of informing the consumer that the next wine will ultimately come from different vineyards and locations and won’t taste exactly the same – so don’t get too used to it. '

You know, and maybe it's just me, but I find that "cheap" Chardonnay tastes, well like cheap Chardonnay. While not as finicky as Pinot Noir, it is not a varietal, that lends itself well to over-cropping, and mass production. Just never "does it" for me.

Guess that I'd best stop by my 7-11 (live in the land of Circle K), and actually try this, before I go too far. Heck, I may like it, and stop spending the big $'s on all that danged Montrachet and Meursault!

    Thanks for the review,

    Hunt
